1. Who We Are

Our Kids Todo ("we", "us") is a family chore and rewards app. A parent or guardian creates an account and workspace for their family; this policy covers the information collected through that account and the app itself.

2. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address, and basic profile info from Google if you sign in that way.
• Your family name, and anything you enter about your children — names, avatar choices, to-do lists, star/point balances, streaks, and reward goals.
• An optional parent PIN, if you set one — stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash, never as plain text.
• Basic usage data (pages viewed, actions taken like adding or completing a to-do) tied to an anonymous account identifier, not your name or email.

Children do not create their own accounts or sign in independently — a parent or guardian enters and manages all child profile information under their own account.

3. How We Use This Information

We use it to operate the app — authenticate you, save and sync your family's data, and send account-related emails (welcome, password reset, and confirmations for account or email changes) — and to understand how the app is used so we can improve it.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties. That reflects how the app works today; if that were ever to change, we'd update this policy first.

4. Who We Share It With

We share data only with service providers that help us run the app, under their own security and privacy commitments — never for their own independent use:

• Google Firebase — authentication and database storage.
• Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager — anonymized usage analytics.
• Amazon SES — delivery of transactional account emails.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember device preferences (like your preferred dashboard layout). Our analytics providers may set their own cookies to measure usage. We don't use cookies for advertising.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your family's data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated family data at any time from Account Settings — this cannot be undone.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Alignment)

Our Kids Todo is designed for a parent or guardian to use on behalf of their family. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and children do not have their own login credentials — everything about a child profile is entered and controlled by the parent's account.

8. Security

Each family's data is isolated so that only that family can access it, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to how we collect or use information, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know directly.

10. Billing, Refunds & Cancellation

Our Kids Todo offers a free Standard Plan and a paid Full Plan billed monthly ($2.50/mo) or annually ($19/yr).

• Cancellation: You may cancel your Full Plan subscription at any time from the Parent Account Portal. Your access continues until the end of the paid billing period, after which your account reverts to the free Standard Plan with no further charges.
• Refunds: Subscription payments are non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods, except where required by applicable law (for example, certain consumer protection rights in the EU or other jurisdictions). If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@ourkidstodo.com and we will review the situation promptly.
• Disputes: If you have a concern about a charge, please reach out to us directly before initiating a chargeback — we are committed to resolving billing issues quickly and fairly.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' prior notice. Any price change will be communicated via email and will only take effect at your next renewal date.
